These beautiful mugs were forged by Kinto by working closely with craftsmen in traditional pottery villages in Japan. They are made of sandstone unique to the Hasami region in Japan, which mixes sand and rocks with local Amakusa porcelain stone. This creates the ceramic-like organic texture, while ensuring durability of high quality porcelain. The iron in the sandstone also reacts with the glaze to create deep nuanced expressions.
