Hacienda La Florida Typica Mejorado

ORANGE LIQUEUR | LYCHEE | FLORAL

*Roasted on January 12th*

This coffee is another example of Ecuador coffee producing prowess. It comes from the famous Hacienda La Florida in the south of Ecuador. The farm is methodically managed by agronomists, brothers Fabricio and Ramiro Coronel. Their results speak for themself as they have consistently finished in the top five of the Cup of Excellence in Ecuador.

This is a typica mejorado with days of anaerobic fermentation in cherry form in sealed stainless tanks. The coffee is then gently dried in dark room dehydrators. It’s funky and juicy - all by design.

This omniroast has been optimized for filter, but a well trained barista will definitely be able to pull tasty shots with it.

Farm Gate

This the price paid directly to the farmer who actually grows the coffee. If it's an individual farmer who does all of the processing themselves, it will be per lb of green coffee. If the farmer only grows the coffee and sells cherry it will be / kg cherry. This is a very important price that's often obscured and may or may not be related to the export price.
