Gift Class: Tasting Specialty Coffee

Someone famous once said: Drinking is to sustain our body and tasting is to sustain our soul. Ok, so we actually made that up, but it sounds pretty true, right?

This class is ideal for anyone who loves to taste and wants to experience coffee more intentionally, while better understanding what separates regular coffee from excellent coffee.

We will start with a brief look at coffee history, how it is grown and processed, and the difference between commodity and specialty coffee. From there, we will taste three diverse coffees from our line-up, including both our core and spotlight offerings. We will explore their characteristics and discuss their differences to better appreciate what makes each one unique.

The vibe is friendly, relaxed and genuinely fun. It works for individuals, pairs, groups of friends or corporate teams who want a shared experience that smells amazing.

The class runs for 90 minutes at the Simmons Building and includes a Roasterie tour and a bag of coffee for them to take home. The gift recipient may choose a class date that suits their schedule.

A lovely email will be sent to the recipient’s email address at 8 AM on the date you specify above. If you select today, it will be sent immediately. The email will explain how to book their preferred class date and apply their discount code.

This the price paid directly to the farmer who actually grows the coffee. If it's an individual farmer who does all of the processing themselves, it will be per lb of green coffee. If the farmer only grows the coffee and sells cherry it will be / kg cherry. This is a very important price that's often obscured and may or may not be related to the export price.
