TAMIRU IS THE REAL DEAL
Tamiru Tadesse founded Alo with his wife, Messi, and their very first Cup of Excellence submission in 2021 took first place. They haven't slowed down since. This lot comes from Morkie, a village in Burra, where Alo runs the smallest station in their network, sitting at a staggering 2550m. Small is the point: tiny volumes, picked and processed with a level of care that big stations simply can't match.
Tamiru is the real deal. He cares deeply about quality. Unlike most of the coffee producers that Phil has met in Ethiopia, he's not just a businessman in coffee, he's a coffee guy in business, and you can taste that difference in everything they produce.

Very balanced, has fruity notes and a solid body
This one has been my go to bean for over a year. So good! Definitely a bit pricey if you aren't use to specialty coffee, but I still love it haha. Friends and family often comment about the great taste when ever I make them a cup at home.
Great for microcano's/long blacks! A great introductory espresso roast for people starting to become interested in lighter/fruitier coffees.
