I’ve had the privilege of meeting tons of super nice people in the coffee world, and the Falla Family comes top of mind in this list. They are a multi-generational large coffee producer in the Antigua region, but they are so kind, approachable and introspective that it makes it such a pleasure to work with them. This lot is a caturra grown at 1650m and washed by traditional fermentation with lots of care. The result is one of the top lots from the San Miguel / Antigua coffee region. The profile of this region is mostly pretty mild and crowd pleasing. This coffee is both of these things but also has more transparency and character than nearly all coffees from this region.
We have been working with the Falla Family since 2018 and also buy from some of their other farms like San Sebastian and El Tempixque.
