A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to take a short trip to Los Angeles. I visited three excellent cafes: Highlight Coffee, Bakers & Baristas, and Endorffeine. Frank at Highlight runs an impressive operation. Each item on his diverse but tightly curated menu is well-thought-out. Thanks for caring so much about every drink you make, Frank!

My welcome at Bakers & Baristas was as warm as imaginable. I greatly appreciated getting to know JJ and the team, and it was a treat to spend time chatting about the Phil & Sebastian coffee philosophy and answering questions. Both their coffee and food programs are fantastic! 

 Lastly, it was great to meet Jack from Endorffeine. He has a unique and insightful approach to coffee, certainly influenced by his biochemical past. I enjoyed our many hours of coffee talk and hope we can stay in touch in the future! I’m so happy to be working with other great cafes in LA that I wasn’t able to visit on this short, one day trip such as Document Coffee Bar, Paramount Coffee Project, Coffee Commissary, The Combine Kitchen, and à Bloc. So much great stuff happening in LA! Thanks to our local representative, Anjela, for graciously touring me around. Next time I’ll definitely stay longer!
